With its expansive golden sand and charming shops and eateries, Perranporth offers a unique landscape and atmosphere, drawing families, hikers, and adventurers alike. Explore the rugged cliffs and countryside that inspired the Poldark novels by Winston Graham, and immerse yourself in their natural beauty.

Head out from our Perranporth cottages to embark on scenic hikes, explore hidden caves, or relax on the sun-drenched sand dunes. Take a refreshing dip in Perranporth’s natural open-air pool during low tide, where the water reaches balmy temperatures in summer. As the sun sets, unwind with a glass of Chardonnay at The Watering Hole – a beachside restaurant and bar, offering live music, comedy, and beach activities year-round.

From vibrant streets lined with boutique shops to cliff-top golf courses, Perranporth offers endless entertainment. Its central location on the North Cornwall coast makes it an ideal base for exploring further afield. Take a short drive to the renowned surfers’ haven of Fistral Beach or scenic Watergate Bay. Alternatively, head south from our holiday cottages in Perranporth to discover the heritage coastline and pristine bays of St Agnes.

Food and drink

Head to one of the many takeaways in the town and tuck into fish and chips the classic way, adorned with salt, vinegar, and mushy peas – topped off with a sunset view.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome on Perranporth’s 3-mile beach, which is perfect for a morning run or afternoon walk. The cliff paths to St Agnes and Holywell Bay offer miles of spectacular dog-friendly walking.
